6th Annual Wanaaring Goat Muster Venue: Wanaaring
Contact Details:

Keryn Holland (Secretary)
Phone: 02 6874 7717

Wanaaring is NSW's most remote village, located 200km west of Bourke and 480km north of Broken Hill. Our community survives on running feral goats and so the annual Wild Goat Muster celebrates that by holding a variety of events. We have a lot of fun and the focus is on teaching and encouraging the children who enjoy the day so much.
The day is provided at minimal cost to families, there is no gate fee although we do ask for donations at the gate for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

   Weekend Admission:
   $15 Adults:
   $10 Children (6-16)
   $40 Family Pass

The White Cliffs gymkhana and rodeo is one of the last remaining bush events in the Western Division of NSW. The gymkhana has been held annually for more than 100 years. It is one of the few continuing successful weekend, outback events.

Each year our family orientated weekend attracts young and old alike. People travel from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and everywhere in-between to enjoy what the weekend has to offer.

Gymkhana events are held on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The main attraction, the Rodeo, is held Saturday afternoon followed by a twilight tug 'o' war and a live band.

Novelty events are held Sunday for non horse riding people of all ages. The cross cut saw competition would have to be one of the highlights.

Money raised over the weekend goes towards local charities and organisations such as the State Emergency Service, Rural Fire Service, the local hospital, White Cliffs Public School and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. We proudly support these services on which we depend enormously. Money is also reserved for maintenance and upgrades of our facilities for all to enjoy.
